Beside seating arangments what is the difference between the 2008 I-ride and 2008 V-ride that malibu boats makes? I think I like the seating arangment better in the I-ride, but it also appears that the V-ride is more popular boat? Am i missing something here?

  1. the v ride has a bigger wake because of the motor in the stern vs the center

  2. Jim s. is mistaken....

There are huge differences in drive systems between the two models.

The V Ride boat has the motor mounted in the stern offering more interior space.

The I-ride model has the engine mounted in the center of the boat greatly increasing the boats acceleration and planing ability.  One of the biggest benefits of having the engine mounted in the center is the fact that the boat produces a significantly flatter wake, making it a much more desirable model for pulling skiers and wake boarders.

The I drive also has a much shallower draft.
