Malibu & Mastercraft boat difference???

Question

whats the difference between the wake a Malibu puts out and the wake a Mastercraft puts out??

some people say theirs a HUGE difference...

Hi guys! You're right... there's a huge difference between these two brands; MasterCraft Boat actually produces more than wake/ski specific models.

This perception probably stems from a five-year history of world record pull (PS190/197) in skiing - trick/slalom/jump and wakeboarding (X-Star) for its revolutionary hull.

Malibu has tons of cool feature and so does the master crafts Malibu's look way cooler to me. and they both put a nice wake but malibu has a cleaner and more shaped wake to me like you can make the top of the wake more steep and so on but they both have wedges and are nice.

from what i have seen, and have been told is that mastercraft is more of a wake boarding boat so it puts out a big wake

a malibu is typically a ski/barefoot boat so the wake should be minimal

me personally, im a jet skier, but one of my buddies owns a nice mastercraft but is selling it for an average malibu, so i asked him why he would give up his great boat for an older, average boat and that is when he explained the differences, and the reason he needed a boat to put out a smaller wake for barefooting, which is what he does mostly.

mastercraft used to be the "prefered boat " on the wakeboard circuit but as of the 2007 shootout between mastercraft and malibu ,malibu won hands down. evidently the power wedge that malibu has allows more customization of the wake to each riders preferences, not to mention the sweet speed control with 10 pre-sets to customize even further.
