The PCB has announced the squad for the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754. This series will be the last series for Pakistan before the World Cup and will be crucial for the players and the selectors to determine which cricketers to choose
and which to leave out for the World Cup squad. The PCB selection committee has ignored former Captains Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousaf. The former wicketkeeper/batsman Kamran Akmal and bowler Danesh Kaneria have also been ignored. The reasons given by the

After the team was announced, Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal were not happy with the decision taken by the PCB for ignoring them. Shoaib Malik claimed that he wasn’t part of any wrong doing throughout his 11 year old career and
was disappointed with the decision by the Selection Committee. Shoaib was also not a part of the Test matches which were under the inspection of the ICC. He didn’t play the Sydney Test and he was also not selected for the matches against England in which the
cricketers were charged. Shoaib has been playing domestic cricket to prove his form and fitness but he was not considered for any format. Shoaib claimed that his performances in the T20 and the 50 over game justify his place in the limited over team if not
in the Test matches.
On the other hand Kamran Akmal was also surprised on being ignored for the tour to New Zealand. Kamran Akmal had been playing domestic cricket after he had a minor appendix operation. He was ignored for the South African tour because
of the operation he had. After the selection committee had ruled him out of the New Zealand tour, he was not pleased and he claimed that he had gotten clearance from the ICC. He had sent an enquiry to the ICC to confirm whether he was available for selection
or not and the ICC had no objections over his selection in the team. Kamran recently also revealed that he was available to play for the team as a specialist batsman if he is not considered as a wicketkeeper/batsman. Kamran has had technical difficulties in
keeping the stumps and he was dropped from the team in England after a poor show with the gloves and bat. Instead of Kamran, Zulqarnain Haider was given an opportunity and the latest selection was of his own brother, Adnan Akmal who was selected as a wicketkeeper
for the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in the UAE. In the meanwhile, Kamran has been playing domestic cricket and has been performing exceptionally well with the bat. He scored 530 runs at an average of 75.71 for National Bank. He also scored his maiden first
class double century against Faislabad.
Commenting on the bookie, Mazhar Majeed, Kamran said that Majeed had been an agent of many cricketers in the past and in the current team as well. He claimed that he had no other relationship with Mazhar Majeed and he was not involved

eight One Day internationals he has played. He was a part of the squad for the South African Test series but was unable to participate in the series due to poor fitness.
After the issues in the England series, the PCB has been very strict and has clearly stated that any player involved in wrong doing would not be a part of the team. The suspected players will also not feature in international cricket
until they are given clearance by the ICC. Being dropped from the side, these players might not be able to make it to the squad for the World Cup 2011 as this is the last series that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 team will feature in before the Championship begins.
