Malkin is = to Crosby?

Crosby was injured this season... Malkin stepped and lead the Pens to the playoffs. Don't you think Malkin deserves more credit than your not giving him.

Who isn't giving him any credit? I think he has come a LONG way since we seen him in last years playoffs. I give him a "two thumbs up".

They all do. They're a championship caliber team and everyone has a role and a reason for being there. When one goes down, another steps up. This is why they have won so many games and are feared by everyone. Malkin and Crosby have different styles which complement everyone well.

If I had to choose which player to take on my team, I would pick Malkin without hesitation.  He is a GREAT playmaker, not as good as Crosby, but smarter.  Doesn't try the stupid spin-o-rama passes to nobody.  Malkin is a WAY better goal scorer, more physical, and bigger.  Malkin can score goals other than deflecting them in off defenseman's skates.

yeah he desevres so much more credit then people give him .. really tho stop and think with out him were would we be now . i mean no sidney at the middle ames .. were would we be with out Malkin?!

The beauty of this, and what makes their (Pittsburgh's) attack so multi-dimensional is the fact that Malklin is NOT = to Crosby.

Both players are a threat to score, every time they touch the puck, however they have two very different playing styles, which leave other teams one question... focus defensively on which one? Let's face it, most teams aren't deep enough defensively to defend against both. Furthermore, you have a solid 3rd line center in Jordan Staal. Granted, he doesn't see the ice on the same level as Malkin or Crosby, but he is very effective, and an opportunistic scorer in his own right. All three deserve loads of credit, because all three have done their part to get the Penguins organization back into the upper echelon of the NHL, where they have earned their place.

Anyone who disagrees is likely a disgruntled Flyers fan.

If they are babies, then why don't we see you out there playing defense against them????

Malkin is more like Ovechkin a very talented Goal scorer who can create his own chances. Crosby is a better all round Off player. bottom line is you can't go wrong with either

Malkin has had a great year, but up 'till now he has been known as an underachiever. Let's see how he does next year before we declare him king!?

I'm very exited about my pens and I CERTAINLY know that we could not have made it this far without the outstanding play of BOTH superstars!

I think ultimately what we are seeing develope here is a MARIO and JAGR

CROSBY is probably going to supercede MALKIN with the national media.

Simply the great news angle of a handsome knight in shining armor riding in to help save a sinking team that ALMOST LEFT Pittsburgh entirely is too much for sports journalists to resist biting into!

When you add into the equation that Knight in Shining Armor Crosby is also UNIVERSALLY recognized as one of the single best players in the entire sport it really adds to the mix

It all conjurs up images of SUPER MARIO coming to a floundering Pens in the mid 80's and become the driving force for their dramatic turnaround to greatness!

Having said all that however I do believe that Malkin WILL get the credit that he does so richly deserve

BELIEVE me! If the Pens win the Stanley Cup and Malkin plays an intrical role you are going to hear LEGIONS of national sports journalists and broadcasters proclaim that CROSBY and MALKIN are the NEW MARIO and JAGR!

I truly believe that MALKIN is less than 2 weeks a way from becoming internationaly known as the NEW JAGR!

CROSBY and MALKIN I think are on the verge of being universally crowned as THE BEST TANDEM in HOCKEY!

The MAIN thing is that EVERYBODY else on their team MUST do their part as well!

AND I truly believe THEY WILL!

Just like MARIO and JAGR'S FANTASTIC teammates did on the way to back to back Stanley Cups!
