Malkin for the future. I don't know that he's better now but I believe he will be. Too bad we can't see more of them in head to head competition.

i love both of these guys cuz they play for my favorite teams the pens & sharks so i'm not going to choice. I gotta love them both equally. :)

I would go with Joe, even though he stinks in the playoffs, he competes and doesn't mail it in (in the Finals of all things).

It will be funny on how Malkin reacts this season when things don't get off to a great start, He strikes as me as a guy with character issues

They are both great players. Thornton is more physical, can win face offs, can pass, and shoot, while Malkin is speedy, can shoot,dangle, and playmake.

I'd say Malkin. No Question.

This is an impossible question to answer. All you are going to receive are opinions. How does one define better? Do you define it as who can carry a team when the captain is hurt or who can score more goals? Do you define better as a player who is on the ice more or who has more shifts? It's impossible to answer.

Right now I'd have to say Thornton. No offence to Malkin he had a great season but we have to see if it wasn't a Fluke. Thornton right now is a more complete player. He can pass, shoot, hit, skate and much more. Malkin will be better in the Future. But right now thornton is.

Tough one. They are both big, strong, physical players and they can both carry a team. I say Evgeni Malkin because Joe Thornton is as good as he'll ever be. But Malkin just started and he is already as good if not better than Joe Thornton. So Evgeni Malkin all the way!
