http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Ramis, the Real Mallorca defender, is reportedly looking to secure a move to the English Premier League with Aston Villa and Sunderland both looking to sign him.

Ramis said while speaking to reporters:
“This could be the ideal moment to make a change and the Premier League is a destination that appeals because I like the football there.
I cannot say that things are bad here because I'm very happy, but it's possibly a step that I have to take to continue growing as a player.”
The 27-year-old central defender felt the English Premier League would prove to be the perfect for him, having been with Mallorca all his life. He joined the club at the youth level, going on to make his debut for the Mallorca B team 2001.
It was after three years in 2004 that Ramis finally made his debut for Mallorca, shortly after which he was loaned out to Valladolid in 2005-2006. He made 30 appearances for them before returning to Mallorca, for whom he has made 164 appearances in the league,
along with nine goals.
While Ramis is keen on a move away, the club president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer revealed he was hoping the defender decided to remain with the La Liga side. He confirmed he had received offers from Premier League outfits, but failed to mention which club in
specific.
According to Serra Ferrer, the club had invested heavily in Ramis and would be extremely disappointed in letting him leave in the current summer transfer window.
Serra Ferrer said:
“I've received an offer from the representative of a Premier League club but we are quite far apart. We're happy that Ramis has the idea and dream of progressing in his career. We've invested a lot in him and we know that he's a local lad, who developed
here and who is very important.”
