Mallorca? yes or no?

I'm planning to go to mallorca....who has been there? do you think it's a good choice?? i need sun and good night life..however..i'am afraid that mallorca is more like a village and doesn't really have any good clubs....and is true that there are so many germans there...

what other places are similar to mallorca but better???

I've been there. The island as a whole is a laid back villagey style, although certain areas are specifically party places. I think it was the number one party place before Ibiza became popular, and it continues to attract loads of young Brits each year. Magaluf is the party capital of Mallorca, so you should try for a hotel there, or on the outskirts.

The night life is good if you want bars and clubs. They also have markets during the day where you can pick up souvenirs. If you want to see the rest of the island, I recommend hiring a car. Some parts are really beautiful.

It's not so good for older couples, and it's okay for young families, though not ideal for those that get annoyed with shouting at all hours of the night.

Better party places in Europe are probably Ibiza and Aiya Napa (sp?). They're much more targetted towards the party-goers. I hope you have a good time!
