Malls in London..........???

Question

I'm going to london tomorrow and i was looking to see if there was any good malls around...maybe somewhere near buckingham palace?

can u give me the name of the mall and area please!

I went to London the other week the only malls I saw was the Victoria shopping centre at Victoria station and the Brunswick Centre which is a lovely quiet open air mall with a few clothes stores, a superdrug and a boots, an a couple of coffee shops. It's near Russell Square tube station delightful in the mornings to sit outside with a coffee.

There are hardly any malls in London yet... the biggest one is at Brent Cross in north London, but that's nothing special.

They are building a big Westfield at Shephard's Bush which will be brilliant, doesn't open til November though.

if you want big malls you've got to get to the outskirts of London ... places like Brent Cross, Lakeside and Bluewater

We don't really have many malls as such in London.  The shopping here is much more like New York in that shops are directly on streets (think 5th Avenue) than in malls.  There aren't really any major shopping streets near Buckingham Palace as that area of the city is more touristy/administrative, although Victoria Street (the road between Victoria station and Westminster) does have a few good shops.  The main shopping area in London is Oxford Street/Regent Street, but I would also recommend Covent Garden, Kensington High Street and Sloane Street (nearest tube Sloane Square) as good places to go.  Alternatively we do have some out of town American style malls such as Lakeside and Bluewater but if you don't have a car these can be hard to get to.

There aren't any really big malls in that part of London. There is Victoria Place but it is not very big. Most of the shopping in central London can be found on the street. Oxford Street, Bond Street etc.
