Malware found by Avast?

I did a scan with Ad-Aware today and it found tracking cookies and I deleted them. Right after i performed a scan with Avast and right away it found this malware in this location:

C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-287593277-400... -1050

Isn't that the location where deleted items are temporary stored after you empty the Recycle Bin?

The malware name is Win32:Adware-gen [Adw] and it's infecting the file BAE.dll found in C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5......

So, what is BAE.dll and should I delete it? I have it sent to the virus chest.

  1. yes delete

This BAE.dll file is a Browser Helper Object (BHO) that runs automatically every time you start your Internet browser. BHOs are not stopped by personal firewalls, because they are identified by the firewall as your browser itself. BHOs are often used by adware and spyware.

  2. When you reboot it will probably report it cannot find a .dll because you have put it in quarantine.  That is an older type of trojan that hides in the recycle bin and is called from the registry even though you have deleted it.  Would suggest you go to ccleaner.com, download and run the free ccleaner program.  It will get rid of the registry entry and totally eliminate the trojan.

  3. I'm italian, I use malwarebytes' antimalware, is the best against the malware
