Mamadou Sakho’s status at PSG coming under threat

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mamadou-Sakho-c23293 has been the captain of Paris Saint-Germain since the retirement of Claude Makelele but the young defender might have to make way for someone else
Following the retirement of club legend Claude Makelele, Paris Saint-Germain did not really have no suitable candidate who could put on the captain’s armband. In the end, Antoine Kombouare chose to give the massive responsibility to a young player who has
been at the club all his life.
Mamadou Sakho is the symbol of PSG and has been a consistent performer for Les Parisiens for quite some time. Sakho was first given the captain’s armband at the age of 17 and now, the Frenchman is one of those few born and bred PSG players who have experienced
the highs and lows of the club.
The 22-year-old is often quoted by Carlo Ancelotti as one of the French players who will represent PSG who want to capture the European summits in the near future.
But today, the young defender may have a lot to answer. Undisputed starter under Kombouare, the talented defender has seen his situation change under Ancelotti, although not dramatically.
Sakho was benched for his side’s 2-1 defeat against Nancy Lorraine last week and L’Equipe and Le Parisien claim that the youngster might miss Sunday’s Clasico against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 and Milan
Bisevac.
If confirmed, the blow would be both bitter and hard for Sakho who would clearly not want to miss a game the importance of which he is fully aware of. Ancelotti has already touched the pride of Nene against Nancy and saw the result.
In the last seven games between Marseille and PSG, the Parisians have conceded goals at a rate of 2 goals per game but excluding Sakho from the starting XI would not please fans who like Sakho as much as they like Nene.
Sakho’s absence in the game against their bitter rivals is not going to go unnoticed and might even prove to be a bad decision. Many people feel that Nene’s frustrations were understandable and if Sakho shows the same response like the Brazilian, Ancelotti
might risk alienating fans.
