My 6 yr. old daughter loves musicals. She's seen Hairspray and the classics like Mary Poppins, Annie... I was wondering what happens in the Mamma Mia movie that garnered the PG-13 rating. (I know the story line.)

  1. nothing wrong visually .. but of course some adult humor and jokes.. I think its OK to go ahead.

  2. it has sexual references that your daughter will probaly not understand. Its hidden humour when it comes to that. Its a very gentle but uplifting film, ive seen it twice now and your daughter will love it!!

  3. ABBA music is not appropriate for people of any age.

  4. yes she could cause my daughter is 7 and she already watched it

  5. I don't think it's appropriate for a 6 year old. There are some very raunchy sexual comments in the movie such as 'knocked up'. Amanda Seyfried who plays Sophie says she found her mother's diary and it says "we danced on the beach", "we kissed on the beach", and "dot dot dot". Also two characters are g*y. This is totally different from "Hairspray". Despite that it's a good movie.

  6. I think it would be fine, there are only a couple subtle things said that she would not understand.  I loved the music as did my wife.

  7. there's a whole scene with the mom and her friends 'imitating' men...lol...

  8. Its rated PG-13 for 's*x related comments'. I would think that a 6 year old would be more distracted by the music and dancing to even notice and ask "mommy what does that mean". There is one scene that has nudity (a naked butt). Other than that I would think its safe.

  9. Theres One Of The Fathers Bum Shown
