If a man became defensive because he was called sensitive, wouldn't that prove that he is sensitive?

  6. This is not paradoxical due to the fact that 'being sensitive' is relative. By calling someone sensitive, you are basically saying that they are 'overly sensitive' based on your standards because everyone is 'sensitive' to a certain extent.

    So by him defending himself, this is not necessarily the action of being 'overly sensitive' as an aggregate being, but only in the situational-dependent variable of being called sensitive.

    More simply put: This only shows that he is sensitive in regards to being called sensitive. "1/150000(a) = a" is a logical fallacy unless a = 0 (and 'a' doesn't equal 0 when it comes to sensitiveness)

    Maybe, most men i know take it as an insult to be called sensitive so im not sure that is conclusive proof

    I would take someone acting "all macho" when you call them sensative as better proof

  8. It depends on the context and the non-verbal cues that the person calling names is throwing out there.  Most people might become defensive if they feel they are being attacked.
