  1. Noo, perhaps depends of the country, but with me this doesn`t walk.

  2. In some instances yes, this is still too often the case. But now more women are taking the advantages that education and a career offer them and are not just content to marry and be totally absorbed in domesticity.

Men's roles too are changing and some no longer feel the pressure to marry and have a family like their fathers did and their fathers before them.

The book and its title  that inspired the catch phrase, Women are From Venus etc. was written back in the 1980s.

So it is now a bit outdated in its perception of exactly what the modern women want and their roles in this ever changing society we live in.

Outlook.ambitions and attitudes have changed  almost as much for our brothers too.

So on the basis of society today I don't agree that the modern woman is from Venus, anymore than I'd agree Men  of this era are from Mars .....maybe from Pluto as they are good negotiators, but not the war loving, all powerful, dominant Mars.

The male has changed in as many ways as we females have changed our attitudes and ambitions in the past 30 years.

I think if anything we understand each other far better today.

At least most of us have learnt to communicate in the same language and that is a long way from where we were when the book was written and its title became a catch phrase.

  3. mmmm.....NOPE !!

because i'm born of My Mother :b :D

  4. Oh i love that Book "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" by John Gray, i read it about 6 years ago and it made perfect sense to me.

In short the writer imagined that men were born on Mars and Women on Venus and they came together, understood each others differences and married, but when they came down to live on Earth, they totally forgot about their backgrounds and need to start understanding them and addressing them better to improve the communication and relationships.

If i remember correctly John Gray was a marriage and relationship counselor himself and wrote the book after years of studying the male and female ways of thinking and the reasons conflicts occur from their speech and wrongful interpretation of what is being said.

The book has a lot of valid points and is quite an eye opener especially for someone with no or little contact with the other gender, for eg., men and women's understanding of complaining is different.... If a woman comes home and starts compliaing to her man about what a rough day she had at work and how badly it was and how people treat her, in a man's mind he thinks she is asking him for a solution to her problem and so he starts straight away rationalizing and telling her what to do and how to act.... this actually annoys her cos it was not why she was complaining, all she wanted was someone to sympathize with her... a way to hear her out and comfort her... just be there for her.

As i said, i agree with a lot of what was written in the book and with the general concept, however, i hate to generalize in life cos i have seen and met many people from different genders with great knowledge and intuition that makes them understand what is being said and the correct actions to be taken.

Overall, YES men ARE from Mars and women ARE from Venus when it comes to communication.

  5. in a sense yes, but not literally lol. we are physically and emotionally wired differently because that is how God made us :) but we all human lol. Guys are more tough and girls are more emotional, that kind of thing, its what makes us girls or guys. :) peace

  6. Mars Is The 4th Planet From The Sun And The Last Of Inner Planets It Has 0.001 Pressure Compared to Earth It Has Very Few Amounts  Of Oxygen And Cannot By Any Means Support Intelligent Life In It's Current State

Venus Is The Second Planet In The Sun It's Covered By A Dense Atmosphere Of Co2 Which Would Increase The

"Greenhouse Effect" Drastically And It's Temperatures Would Rise 461 Celsius

    i Would Say It's Impossible

  7. Yes i do agree in principle, men & women are worlds apart in the way they think & behave. Its why marriage takes so much work.

Women like to chat about their problems & compare notes.

Men prefer to think about them & if you try & get them to open up, they think your meddling.

    Women express their emotions.

While men keep them bottled up.

Women will make a decision & get on with it.

Men, you have to feed them the idea, then give them time to come to the same conclution. (lol)

There are many more, but i wont bore you, the married one's amongst you will know what i've said is true.
