  1. There is a common ancestor, we are so ape like it is infact scary. But i dont think we came directly from apes..

but rather something had evolved and both ape and human split from it.. or from ape 2 things formed

    there is so many possibilities...

  2. Who says it won't?

  3. All species -- animals and plants are evolving.  It's a slow process.  It takes more time than you may be able to see in your lifetime.

  4. Monkeys of today have evolved already, and continue to as do all animals - or else they become extinct.  According to the theory - Humans and apes (and fater back even monkeys) all evolved from common ancestors - but that ancestor did not look like any monkey, ape or human of today.

A simple way to look at it is to consider your great great grandparents - over the succeeding generations they produced many offspring and offspring of offspring, so that after only 4-5 generations the orignal pairing of 2 has resulted in 64 great great grandchildren (assuming 2 new kids in each succeeding generation for each child - change that to 3 and you end up with 81).  Those 64 great grandkids look very different from each other, and may bear some resemblence to the original set of great grandparents, but it is likley that there are many more differences.  Some will be larger some smaller - some stronger, some more intelligent.

continue this process over thousands of years, with nature throwing up obstacles that some survive better than others (and therefore are more successful at passing on those particular traits that help them survive) and in the long run you end up with some very different looking individuals - but all coming from a common ancestor that probably looks very different than the current generation.  This is how evolution works.  Apply the same process to millions of years, add mutations as they come along and increase survival potential in some areas (while possibly hindering it in others)  and you end up with different species.

A good example of mutation changes in primates is the tail.  All monkeys have a tail, but only those in the western hemisphere have tails they can use to grab things - evidence that the mutation which led to such "prehensile tails" happened some time after the continents shifted.  Likewise, apes to not have tails at all - suggesting that mutation happened millenia later.  Although apes (and humans) do not have tails - we do still retain a vestigial tail bone in our skeletons - evidence of those long ago ancestors that had tails.

  5. They can.  It just hasn't happened.

  6. Where we all are in the present time we evolved to, monkeys included, from something else.

  7. Here's an answer that will give you something to think about.  The human race was created, we were put on this planet to do a job and that job is almost done.  If man did evolve from apes, then why has there never been any evidence found to support that claim.  There are ape remains and there are human remains (I know there's been chromanion, neaderthal, homo erectus and homo sapien remains also; but they're all essentailly early human) so why have there never been any remains of the transition from walking bent over to walking upright found?  Even the chromanion were more or less upright!  That series of diagrams, showing the progession from ape to man, is nothing more than an unsuported theory.

  8. Do the same what?  Monkeys are apes, and evolved ones at that - they just have not evolved the same.

  9. they still are ( evolving ), only a lot slower, and after all there is only room for one dominant species at any one time.

  10. GREAT QUESTION...They never eat enough opium, mushrooms, or cannabis.

  11. A REALLY good question.

The answer is simple : They can't, because man never did evolve from the ape.

(Well, that is, there is no mediatory (missing link) fossil evidence available to prove that he did and there's a great number of biologists who don't believe in evolution and of those that do, some admit that evolution isn't a fact, Stephen Gould, a eminent evolutionary biologist, says of 'fact', "There ain't no such animal").

  12. a cockroaches has been said to be a cockroaches for million of years long before the age of dinosaurs, why dont they evolve to something else.

    this evolution theory suck.

  13. we did not evolve from apes but both evolved from a common ancestor.

The asking of this question shows a major misunderstanding of evolution

Do the same?    That which is successful survives and fills a niche

Evolution does not flow in a line from top(human) to bottom (single celled organisms), we assume that!

  14. well we are far in advance to monkeys...maybe not in our life time but they will evolve just give them time hehe

  15. Oi, people, not everything in nature revolves around us humans!  We really need to get over ourselves - we are not the pinacle of evolution, we are just one example of it.  We're not masters of the planet, we just happen to be in a position of power, a position that demands we takes more responsibility.

Oh, and I read the Bible once....it told me that insects have four legs, all the animal species of the world could fit onto a rather small boat and that to make a goat's fur stripy, one has only to put a stripy stick in the drinking water of it's mother.  So you'll excuse me if I don't believe it to be an entirely accurate biological textbook on which we should base our understanding of such matters.

  16. it's actually said all primates evolved from a common ancestor.

  17. man evolved from apes because aliens came down and mated  with them! anyways whos to say that if monkeys evolved they would evole into humans, anyways i heard that our hands n feet used to be really webbed and that we actually evolved from the sea coz the earth used to be covered in water.and you no what i hope nothing else evoles into humans coz quite frankly we havent done a good job of looking after the planet,or eachother for that matter!

  18. You are right ... this theory is no doubt has become much popular just because at that time of proposing this theory there was no strong points to contradict this.... however presently there are numerous theories very strongly opposing this einstein theory of evolution. (even einstein in his writings has said that this theory may be wrong also)

  19. sum prehistoric creatures hav evolved into modern day reptiles like da Croc!

  20. I think there is some miss understanding of Charles Darwin's theories in here!  As I am from shrewsbury too I'll reply!  Evolution is when an organism is born with one single difference or defect which enable it to survive more consistently than its counterparts.  Over millions of years many defects are tested but only the most successful ones survive because those which are not as successful die with their possessors.  Only procreation can carry on the success gene and make that defect common.  You cannot see evolution in a human lifetime because it takes many generations to test a defect and it takes many many generations to find a successful one.  Monkeys may well evolve to something similar to a human but you nor I will ever see it and neither will your great great great great great great great great great great grandchildren!

  21. Because man DIDN'T evolve from apes....God created Adam and Eve....read the bible

  22. BECAUSE WE NEVER EVOLVED!!! Go to church, People.

  23. every living thing is continuously evolving to become more able to live in its surroundings.

Man didnt evolve from apes, both man and apes evolved from  a common ancestor which branched off into several species some 100-odd million years ago.

I wish people would stop asking this question.

  24. Here we go with the "common ancestor" malarky again ! The "learned" evolutionists long ago saw that it was impossible for humans to have evolved from apes/monkeys , so they decided on a vague/ambiguous "relative" .................... the "common ancestor" .

This has the whole range of life on earth covered . No need for any evidence , proof , or even a fossilized "common ancestor" . How can one deny the existence of a "common ancestor" when the evolutionists themselves don`t even know what it is .

They ask you to blindly accept this "common ancestor" as fact , but yet are shocked that creationists accept creation as fact , even though there`s evidence galore in the bible !

Evolutionists will ridicule creationists , even though the majority of evolutionists have never even opened a bible , much less scrutinize it`s account of creation .

Evolutionists that believe the "common ancestor" ploy remind me of the Pied Piper and the lemmings . Guess who the lemmings are .

  25. Evolution doesn't happen overnight, or even over a life-time; the process occurs over several thousands and millions of years. Us humans cannot live long enough to observe evolution--we must trust science, which tells us that most all modern beings evolved from "something else," whether on a small scale like growing less body hair, to a larger scale like increasing our brain mass and thinking capacity or overall intelligence

  26. Never been totally proved we evolved from apes..Personally dont believe it..
