There is no need for an "opinion" because the answer is simple... the moon landing was 100% staged. It was filmed at the location it was staged... it was staged on the moon. We filmed it on the moon. So yes, man landed on the moon. The moon landing was real. Man landed on the moon 6 successful times through the Apollo missions: Apollo-11, Apollo-12, Apollo-14, Apollo-15, Apollo-16, and Apollo-17. Apollo-13 was supposed to land, but there were problems.

Sense you haven't presented any conspiracy theories, I won't bother showing you how illogical they all are. But if you do find one, please don't be afraid to post the question or email me so I can show you why it doesn't hold up.

The key piece of evidence that we did, in fact, land on the moon is the fact that there are laser reflectors left on the moon that astronomers use today. They shoot lasers there, and they reflect off. They are able to measure the exact position of the moon down to a thousandth of a centimeter. It is because of these laser reflectors that we first noted that the moon is moving away from the Earth at about 2 cm per year. We were also able to set an exact number on the moon's position... the results of these laser reflectors are easily noticed when you google a question about the moon. Although today we could probably use robotic technology that we have nowadays, the technology simple didn't exist back then. The only possible way for us to plant these laser reflectors on the moon in the 70's was with humans doing to work. So if humans had to do it anyway, why would we fake a landing on the moon, and then have a real one to plant the laser reflectors?

Another piece of evidence is that we were in a space race with the Russians. When we were landing on the moon, they Russians were watching the landing like hawks. If anyone was going to come out and say they were fake, it would be the Russians. Yet they seemed to have sense enough to know the moon landing was real.

And why would we fake a moon landing 6 times? And fake a technological failure on Apollo-13? I can understand faking it once to prove we beat the Russians... but faking it would probably require more time, preparation, and even money than actually landing on the moon... so why fake it 6 times?

And why in the world would we fake Apollo-13? We were also in a technological war with the Russians... we wouldn't fake a failed landing. It wouldn't make any sense to fake it!

Don't listen to the youtube videos, or even the "documentaries". I saw the one on fox and it was pathetic! I was able to refute their ideas with barely any thought. Thats how bad they were. As Clavius says, don't use the University of YouTube as your source of education for the moon landing. Its actually hard to find any *good* sources for information on the moon landing. I recommend the sites I list below. Good luck!

I don't understand why everyone reverts to the laser reflectors as proof we landed men on the moon.  Someone below, couldn't read their nickname, said "Although today we could probably use robotic technology that we have nowadays, the technology simple didn't exist back then. The only possible way for us to plant these laser reflectors on the moon in the 70's was with humans doing to work"  So how do you explain the Russian reflectors that were placed on the moon?  I'm with slipnot, I think its ok to at least question our government without being labeled a kook.  I realize youtube videos are frowned on for "proof" one way or the other, but have any of you seen the one about the sunlight reflections on the visors of the astronauts in earth orbit as compared to the reflections of the astronauts on the moon?  Not saying thats definitive proof or anything, but what is the explanation for that?

you forgot one group... those who believe we've went at some point, but not every time nasa claimed we did.... i am one of those... we obviously went, or we wouldn't be able to use the mirrors to measure it's movement away from us... but there are alot of things that just don't add up....  (please don't bother asking me to state my case.... why waste all that time typing 'my evidence' up when it will just be rebuked by the believers instantly as soon as they get the gist of 'it was fake')

why is it so hard for you to believe a bunch of govt. funded ex-n**i's (yes, nearly all of nasa, atleast in it's earliest years was composed of  defected n**i scientists.....) would lie to the american people? according to the n**i's the halocaust never even happened.....

i do find it ironic you'd call me stupid for considering possibilities other then the govt. The most dangerous thing in this world is ignorance, because ignorant people can be told anything and they will believe it because they do not know any better.

The moon landings are not the subject of belief, no more than WWII is.  400,000 people worked on Apollo over 11 years and this garbage insults them, and especially the incredibly courageous men who went on the missions, relying on 1960s technology to take them to another astro body.  It was a fantastic achievment, and the program was cancelled because of the masses of people like you and people like all the current moon hoaxers, who through lack  of imagination had lost interest and no longer wanted their tax dollars spent on these missions

Slipknot – so what were 150 highly experienced mission control personnel monitoring during the 6 moon landings (3 shifts per day of them)?  

These hoax idiots really don’t think, nor you slipknot.  Either the mission controllers were in on the scam, or there was no scam, for they would catch on to it within 2 seconds if they were watching a simulation rather than the real thing.

And one doesn’t have to go to see the debunking of things like the flag moving, no stars in the sky,etc, etc, anyone who has any brains would know that it is totally impossible to have set up a fake without the thousands of Apollo personnel knowing, or fooling the Soviets who had a massive vested interest in their own failed program, and would have loved to prove the USA didn’t make it.

It was even worse with the WTC hoax thing.  The theories became so ridiculous that only an imbecile would believe that bomb experts could get in and set charges in buildings with 50,000 people working in them, or fly drone planes into the buildings, and hide away all the airline passengers somewhere.  

I love having access to all the information on the internet, but I fear that it is going to be a bad genie that we have let out of the lamp, with the spread of nonsense, lies and propaganda.  In the past, people could only get brainwashed by going to things like n**i rallies.  Now it can be done en masse through the internet.

I'm not sure what to say about things that "don't add up," but can't be talked about for fear of criticism.  I guess suspicion is suspicion, but maybe you should take the criticism seriously.  Especially when the explanation seems to be a lot of vague handwaving about distrusting authority and nothing about the Apollo missions.

It is amazing to me how fantastic theories abound. Bigfoot, Nessi, the Loch Ness Monster, UFOs and alien encounters, denying the Holocaust, denying global warming and denying the moon landing.

The first three are harmless. Yet, the rest are some of the most profound events in human existence. To deny them is to remove their importance from human history.

Denying the Holocaust is to guarantee a repeat possibly on a much, much larger scale. Denying global warming is to guarantee almost unimaginable havoc and suffering in the not too distance future.

Denying the moon landing is to remove the heroism and engineering skill of a generation of space pioneers.

Why haven’t we gone back? Money and purpose. We learned what we came to learn. The cost of repeated visits was and is too high.

Why are we considering returning? Only one reason is- as a jumping off point to go to Mars. Will we do it? Of course we will. The only question is- when? Will we colonize Mars? Of course we will. The only question is- when?

Will people in the furure deny it happened - sure they will.

It is easy to deny human achievement. Usually the “first” at something accomplishes the feat with what seems like impossibly inadequate tools. That is why Ripley's Believe It Or Not is so popular..

I listened to the transmissions to and from the moon (as everybody did who had a TV) and there was a delay of about three seconds - just what it should be. Astronauts are even tempered. The astronauts were chosen to be people who weren't excitable but cool and deliberate.

I worked for a company that made a fire extinguisher for the LM (lunar module). Those things were tested to death. The stack of testing paperwork was about 6 feet high. And, yet, the actual units that went to the moon weren't tested at all. That is so they wouldn't be tested too much and be near failure.

It is amazing what a simple computer CAN DO. And it is amazing how bogged down and slow the super computer you have on your desk IS TODAY. The Van Allen radiation belts were known and provided for.

I hope people realize when this generation goes to Mars - and it will - that 30 or 40 years later people will deny it ever happened.

I hope they remember their denial... then.

- a whole load of documentation (including the tracking data from foreign countries)

- thousands of pictures

- hours of film

- the laser reflectors

- >300kg of moonrocks

- a congratulation from the russians

Most of the landingdeniers counterclaims don't even need an expert to be shown wrong, they are just stupid. .

Just one example:

Hoaxers claim that the flag was waving in some wind

Now everyone who bothers to do some research (instead of relying on the fraudulent Snippets the Hoaxers show) will find out, that the flag was held up by a wire, and appeared only to be waving while (and shortly after) being handled by one of the astronauts.

You also have to ask yourself if it is really believeable that NASA would miss a waving flag if they wanted to fake it?

Now certain  answerers may claim otherwise but all their "evidence" has been debunked numerous times.

Do they acknowledge it? Are they even try to explain why the explantions given are incorrect? No, they just repeat the same bunch of lies over and over again. That should give you an idea about their  honesty...

Get real, you skeptics. Do you REALLY think that you with your personal computer and wikipedia, has stumbled upon some glaring flaw in the NASA archives that the *entire* KGB missed? The entire Soviet spy network went over those documents second by second, and they concluded that it actually happened. Do you really think that America's most bitter rival, the Soviet Union, really glossed over something? Do you really think that they wouldn't have caused an absolute uproar if they had the slightest inkling of a doubt that the United States landed on the moon? Do you really think that NASA in 1969 pulled off a stunt which even the most sophisticated film studios of today couldn't pull off?

Of course not. And I'd trust the results of the conclusions of the world's most sophisticated spy network before I trusted some hack with a camera and a hard on for glory and fame.

Yes, Bart Sibrel, the cult leader of these self-styled illuminaries, is a lying hack, who deserved it 10 times over when he cornered Buzz Aldrin and Buzz (at 72 years old) cleaned his clock. Especially when it was found that Sibrel's footage was deliberately doctored from the official NASA archives to give the illusion of inconsistencies. How could you possibly trust someone who does a thing like that? You can't, and if you still do, then that just means you have an agenda to push, not actual objective truth to prove.
