Man who can crochet?

what is your opinion of men who know how to crochet?

I love it.  I am always trying to get my bf to do (but he did learn to knit)  Our club at school has trouble attracting guys though, I hope one day the stigma of men crocheting ends.

It's a great way to relief the stress and tention in peoples lives.  And you also produce useable objects.

It's also a way to connect with some of the  women in your life.

It's a way to pass time and keeps you from becoming bored at some jobs.

Crochet is like golf, but without the long distances. It is not my game, but if someone likes it, then I am fine with it. It keeps my opinion of them nuetral!

There are some wonderful crochet designers who are guys. Hardy Hass does some of the best thread work around. I have no problem with guys who crochet -- unless they steal my hooks and yarn to do it!.

I think its great that some men have some domestic skills. I admit I would find it odd and maybe funny to see a guy sitting on the subway next to me crocheting but I wouldnt make any assumptions or anything, its just not common.

I think it's awesome.  I taught my boyfriend to crochet and he is now one of 3 men in our crochet group. While sometimes the guys get weird looks while we're all sitting around crocheting, the same guys start nodding once our whole group shows up and it's eight to ten women with one or two guys.  :)

So what's wrong with that?  Rosey Grier used to embroider and Joe Namath wore pantyhose and no one dared make fun of them.

I would think him quite intelligent. After all it's hard for most men to follow instructions or directions. A man that can crochet has followed directions at least once.

A friend of mine is teaching kids in the local youth center how to crochet and she said the boys are loving it more than the girls.

i taught my husband how and he likes it, and i love having the help.
