Question:

Manager Apparal?

I'm a shift leader tomorrow at work ( I work in a restaurant) and I have to dress up (sort of) so I can be a sort of "acting manager". Is it appropriate to wear a mid-length skirt or do I need to stick to pants?

  1. What part of the body does a "mid-length skirt" comes to the middle of?

How does the regular manager dress? That may be a useful guide to follow.

It is almost impossible to maintain any kind of managerial credibility if people can see "all the way to China" whenever you bend over.

The more cautious way would be to stick to pants, I think.  Maybe you want to add professionalism with your blouse (again, better a higher neckline than one that is too low), your hair  (up, maybe), a scarf or jewellery (simple, elegant, not flashy).

In this case, boring would not be a bad thing.  Whatever you choose, make sure it fits, and is comfortable. You don't need a frown on your face because your feet are on fire, or an underwire is stabbing you.

  2. are you a man or a woman. how do you wish to portray yourself.go with your own feelings.
