Manager Kirk Gibson announces Arizona Diamondbacks’ starting rotation – MLB News
The Arizona Diamondbacks’ management has finally decided to unveil this season’s starting rotation. The team’s current manager Kirk Gibson officially announced on Monday saying Ian Kennedy along with Daniel Hudson, Josh Collmenter, Trevor Cahill and Joe
Saunders will be holding the starting responsibility.
Later, during the answer question session with the reporters, Gibson tried to cover several aspects of his pitchers explaining, “We obviously put a lot of thought into it, we looked at peripherals (statistics) as well, where our season's going to start,
where guys are at, and this is the decision we came up with. In my mind I'm going to do what's best for the team. If that's what they think is best then it's totally fine with me."
He added further for Geoff Blum and Ryan Roberts on their potential role next season. He said, "I don't know. At this point I just have some thoughts about it. We'll see how the spring ends up. He still gets sore when I play him a lot.”
Recently the Diamondbacks have completed a relatively good Spring Training and now hoping for a good display of skills in the coming event. Like last year, the Diamondbacks’ preparations are looking good, but deep inside the franchise, they have yet to solve
some important issues. Last year, the Diamondbacks Spring Training also went good, but later at middle of the season, they lost too many games and received disappointment from within the club.
The latest rotation that will be pitching potentially in the first half of the competition might prolong its tenure receiving green flag to pitch in the other half of the season as well. The first and foremost thing needed was to give confidence to their
current selected starting rotation and leave all the other things behind which might create some-kind of complexity in the near future.
In the meanwhile, there is very less time remaining in Opening Day and already the Diamondbacks have showed other teams regarding their full preparations and high energy level. If things went well for the Diamondbacks’ management and for their entire roster,
the fans can expect good results from them as well.
