the best japan female wrestlers ever, i've seen many call manami or akira as the best but jaguar was also great at everything, and she was even innovative doing the tombstone way before undertaker started training to be a wrestler

  1. the crowd chants: TO-YO-TA, TO-YO-TA

Please ask a question about the best joshi match of all time, I need some links to some matches or send me some of your picks please.

  2. Im goin wit Manami Toyota shes a beast love her ur prob not even gonna get alot of answers for this cuz of wwe marks good q something besides wwe and tna

  3. well i would think that most people would say that jaguar yokota was the best seems she was the one who taught manami toyota how to wrestle, and she was regarded the best wrestler of the 80s in the world ( man or woman )

manami toyota is regagrded as the best of the last 20 years, and i would have to agree with that.

as far as technical wrestling go's i think i would actually put akira hokuto ahead of them both, she invented so many moves, like the scoop brainbuster and gutwrench powerbomb

when factoring in all elements of making a great wrestler, i would chose manami as she really does have everything, there is a reason why she has so many 5 star matches, she also has the best suplexes and im a sucker for fancy suplexes

yokota also invented the suplex powerslam (jackhammer) which not many people seem to know, she is still wrestling at the age of 47 and training the new generation

but theres no doubt that these are the 3 best japanese womens wrestlers ever

best: jaguar yokota ( i cant pick a second or third)

    STARRED

  4. Manami Toyota, hands down.

  5. I unfortunately don't really get into much joshi (women's wrestling/joshi and lucha libre are the two styles that I really don't watch too much of), but from what I've seen, Toyota is fanfreakintastic. She's better than a lot of the male wrestlers I've seen. I haven't watched Hokuto, but someone told me she smokes any women's wrestler around, so I might have to check that out sometime.

  6. Manami Toyota was a beast.

I may be biased in my answer, mainly because Manami Toyota is one of my favorite female wrestlers of the past. Akira Hokuto was better on the ground, though.

  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aja_Kong

I seen people say that Aja Kong was the best Joshi.

  8. definately hokuto she is a very respectible wrestler who never gives up even if aja kong as broken her arm or she lands on the railing and breaks her knee she will still try to fight and will win sometimes but toyota and jaguar yokota are legends aswell but we have many names to choose from like shimoda, ohmukai, yamada and yoshida and we have future legends like ayako hamada, azumi hyuga and saki mameara

  9. Jaguar is the most important figure in joshi puroresu history because she trained all the wrestlers you're talking about. We even used to call Megumi Kudo Jaguar Jr. My favourite is Akira Hokuto not only because of what she could do in the ring but because she was a master of displaying emotion and drama in pro wrestling. I love Toyota but she's lacking in that area sometimes. That's something Hokuto learned directly from Jaguar and you need to check out Jaguar's series of matches with La Galactica to see what a great actress she was. That ability made Hokuto's matches more compelling than any other joshi matches. And she did all of this after suffering injuries that would have retired anyone else. She had to inject painkillers in her knee before every match. So I'm a Hokuto man. And if you want to see joshi matches, just go to Youtube & Veoh and search for your favourite wrestler and enjoy.
