I'm flying from Manchester to Paris tomorrow. Do I have to remove coats, jackets/bodywarmers and even belts and shoes at airport security? And what about my camcorder, can I carry that as hand luggage?

  1. We had to remove coats and jackets when we flew out, also had to take boots off but not shoes-if you can't get your camcorder in your hand luggage they may ask you to check it in- ring up your airline to see what their policy is as they are all diff rent

  2. You will only be required to remove items of clothing at airport security if you are asked to and yes you can take your camcorder in your hand luggage.

  3. Yes you will have to remove all outer-clothing, including shoes.  Yes you can carry your camcorder as hand luggage but remember you're only allowed one piece of hand luggage so you may want to put it in a larger bag so you can put other things with it.

  4. You can wear anything, as long as it isn't really big. Once you get through the x-ray things you have to take off belts and shoes and stuff.

It will go in through the x-ray machines and otherwise they will tell you.
