Manchester City captain and Belgian international, Vincent Kompany has admitted that he is more than just happy with the way his side played against Arsenal and hopes for the team to produce similar performances in the future.
The Belgian defender took to the field with the rest of his squad, sitting in the second spot, just one point behind Manchester United. However, a win saw the team go on and reclaim their two point lead at the top of the table.

Kompany has admitted that the three points are crucial for City and are more than likely to come in handy in the future.
Kompany is quoted to have said:  “It was massive for us. I don't think we underestimated the importance of the game”
The player then admitted that the game was quite open and could have gone anywhere till the last minute and that’s why he is more than happy with the fact that they managed to hold their lines.
“It was very open but we managed to keep a clean sheet. Overall I’m very happy with the performance of the team, it was very open but we managed to keep a clean sheet which makes me doubly pleased."
Near the end of the game, Arsenal looked like they were going to get back in the game. Van Persie managed to put the ball over the line, only to see his effort get disallowed for an offside.
Vermaelen went on to test http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 near the end of the game and even seemed to bend in a ball, that could have beaten Hart with ease.

Nonetheless, given the way the Gunners performed, the team is more than likely to bounce back from their loss and pick up a maximum number of points from their remaining fixtures.
