Manchester City boss tells Mario Balotelli to improve his attitude
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has warned hot-headed attacker Mario Balotelli to improve his attitude if he wants to be a success in the English Premier League.
The Italy international has been out of action after being sent off in the 2-0 EPL win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday 7 November.
Balotelli scored both goals in the first half of the game, which was just his third League appearance for the club, but his 63rd-minute dismissal earned him a three-game suspension.
The 20-year-old is set to make his return in the EPL clash with Fulham on Sunday 21 November, but he has been warned by his manager that he must change his mindset.
Balotelli's compatriot Mancini told reporters, "He must change his mentality. He must think about playing, because if he plays here he can score every game. He can't afford to talk with the referee. He needs to think about his job because he can make a difference
on the pitch."
The former Inter Milan striker, who moved to City in the summer for a fee of around £24m, has also been the focus of attention in his homeland, after he was pictured dining with officials from AC Milan, who are keen to secure his services. He was also the
subject of racist abuse when he played for his country against Romania in an international friendly on Wednesday 17 November.
Mancini added, "I am not worried about (the racist chants) because he is a strong character. And in Milan there is a restaurant where all the Milan and Inter players and owners go. This is normal. But he must start to play before he leaves. He has a five-year
contract and he has only played four games."
