Manchester City chase Barcelona ace Krkic Bojan, Nigel De Jong offered new contract
According to reports in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, the race to sign Barcelona forward Krkic Bojan this summer is heating up with the Spanish international set to quit the club at the end of the season. A host of clubs
are lining up to get his signature with Manchester City having registered an official interest in him.
The 20-year-old Bojan has been sparing used by Barca coach Pep Guardiola, playing as a second striker to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 last year, while this year he is behind
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629, who has started ahead of him during the current campaign.
Media reports suggest Roberto Mancini is the favorite to sign the youngster, however, according to the player’s representative, it is unlikely Bojan would leave on
a short-term deal.
The player’s agent Zoran Vekic told a leading newspaper a few months ago that his client was more than happy to stay at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38605 and fight for his place despite speculation.
Vekic also did not rule out a loan move for Bojan insisting, “Next summer we will analyze it and we'll see, but at the moment he is happy at Barcelona."
Bojan is currently recovering from a knee injury and is not in the squad to face Real Madrid in tonight's UCL clash. He is sidelined for up to four weeks and is set
to miss the remainder of the season.
