According to Eric Abidal the veteran http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 full-back has hinted towards other clubs in Europe who are very interested in acquiring his signature. His current contract with the Catalan side expires by the end of this season.
As discussions about his future with his current club continue, Abidal has hinted towards a possible exit as well.
Manchester City have shown particular interest according to the 32-year old. Other clubs keen on signing the full-back are Italian giants AC Milan and Ligue 1 heavy spenders, Paris Saint-Germain.
Although the veteran Frenchman has expressed hope to stay with the Champions League title holders, he may have to move to a different club if the current talks with the team don’t prove fruitful.
Reports suggest that Abidal’s main concern is the fact that even if he is offered a contract renewal by the Catalan side, the contract may only be of one more year. According to reports, the French international prefers a new deal of at least two years.
With his current fitness problems and his age, there has been speculation that his time with the Spanish Champions may be nearing an end. With interest from other clubs growing, the future of the Frenchman seems uncertain.
While talking to RMC, Abidal stated:
"There are clubs that have shown an interest, notably PSG, Milan and Manchester City,"
He also added that he had not been made a solid offer and the prospect of joining another maybe highly doubtful. In the same interview, Abidal told the media that he was unsure about his future. As much as he would like to stay, he has not ruled out the
possibility of leaving Nou Camp. He stated:
“But there have been no concrete offers and I can't say any more. I have a lot of respect for Barca but if we can't reach an agreement, the door is always open."

"I have an international objective. We have qualified for Euro 2012, which is good, but I am also looking at the 2014 World Cup."
