Manchester City could miss out on signing David Silva after manager Roberto Mancini revealed he thinks Real Madrid might land the Spanish star.
Man City enquired about the possibility of getting Silva last week for a deal around £25million.
But it is understood the Valencia playmaker wants to stay in Spain, holding out for a move to Real Madrid.
If he cannot get the move to the Bernabeu, Silva is willing to stay at Valencia for another year and then make the switch to Real Madrid.
Valencia have cashed in on David Villa, who moved to Barcelona for £34million, and if the right offer came along might also cash in on Silva.
