Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng has stated that he is still hopeful of a move to German giants Bayern Munich. The player is currently going through the rehabilitation process after a knee surgery in USA and claimed that
both Manchester City and Bayern Munich reach an agreement over a possible transfer this summer.
Jerome Boateng has been widely tipped for a move to Bavarian giants Bayern Munich this summer. The Germans are in the transfer market for a centre-back and Boateng looks to be a perfect fit as he has considerable experience in
the Bundesliga with Hamburg SV and Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 in the past. The player has had limited first team opportunities in his maiden season at Eastlands and wants a move out.
Boateng has openly expressed his desire to play for Bayern Munich in the past few weeks in order to experience regular first-team football so that he could cement his place in the German national side before the European Championships
next year. But City have refused to negotiate on the 20 million Euro price tag for the player.
The defender claimed that he is recovering well after the surgery and that he is working really hard for his fitness before the start of next season.
“The rehab is going great. I have no pain. I'm working on my fitness, strength and speed. The whole program,” He was quoted as saying.
The German international insisted that he has to be patient and there is not much he can do now as it is up to the clubs to reach an agreement. He remained hopeful that the matter will be sorted out and believed that he will be
playing in the Bundesliga next season.
“I must be patient. There is really not a great deal more that can be said. I am concentrating on my training and hope that a resolution will be found quickly. I believe it will,” the player concluded.
