Manchester City goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 eyes Wembley victory – EPL news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart wants to triumph against the derby rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final on 16 April, 2011.
The Englishman has an impressive record of not being on the losing side at the Wembley stadium while playing in an England shirt.
Hart is adamant that he wants to create some good memories with his club side as well in the famous arena.
He said, “I have good memories of Wembley but I want better ones, I want some with Manchester City. Hopefully I will get two games there with them this season.”
In the current 2010-11 season, Hart has been instrumental in helping his side to fourth spot in the English Premier League table, enabling the Citizens to qualify for next year’s UEFA Champions League.
However, Manchester City’s preparation for the all-important clash against the Red Devils has been far from ideal as they suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in their last EPL fixture.
In that game at Anfield, the 23-year-old was given absolutely no protection in front of goal by a lacklustre City defence. Despite that, he made some fantastic saves to keep the score margin respectable.
Hart admits the defeat against Liverpool was difficult to swallow but states it had made him more determined to perform.
“It is not the end of the world but for anyone who is human, a result like that hurts, We need to use it positively. It has made me angry and wanting to finish the season well. There is no point leaving at Anfield what we have done all season,” added the
goalkeeper.
Manchester City will be without skipper Carlos Tevez as the striker sustained a hamstring injury in the defeat against the Reds. He will be replaced by either http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 or Edin Dzeko upfront.
Hart knows it is going to be difficult to beat the Red Devils as currently they are in superb form but the player claimed that his side is equally fired up and ready for the Challenge.
“It won't be difficult to lift ourselves, It is a massive day and a massive occasion for everyone,” he added.
