Manchester City keeper Joe Hart overjoyed with FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester United
Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has revealed that he is ‘over the moon’ after his side’s monumental victory over bitter rivals Manchester United in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
City walked away 1-0 winners on the night thanks to Yaya Toure’s second half strike.
It seems like Manchester City are starting to prove that they are more than just United’s ‘noisy neighbours’. Though the Red Devils dominated the early proceedings, City fought their way back into
the game, and they ultimately deserved their 1-0 victory.
Though Yaya Toure will undoubtedly earn all the headlines for his match winning strike, much of the credit has to go to City goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699, who was simply unbeatable in the goal on the night. The
England international made a number of absolutely crucial saves early on in the contest to keep his side on level terms.
Thanks to Hart’s efforts, City are on their way to their first FA Cup final in more than 25 years. The goalkeeper has expressed his delight in achieving this milestone, but he has warned his teammates that beating Manchester United does not mean that
they have won the title.
Speaking after the match, Hart said, “It means the world, just look at us. The boys are over the moon, the fans are over the moon and the staff are over the moon but we've won nothing yet. We've done nothing yet but we've got got ourselves in a good
position in the league and in the final and I'm so happy for the people [fans] here.”
Hart also took the time to praise the match winning efforts of teammate Yaya Toure. In the end, it was Toure’s terrific goal that separated the two sides.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international said, “It was a fantastic goal, he (Toure) was fired up at half-time. He's an emotional guy and he lets his emotion show on the pitch.”
The final of the FA Cup will be played at Wembley in May 2011.
