Manchester City looking to make a move for Atletico Madrid’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero
Atletico Madrid forward and Argentine international, Sergio Aguero has been linked with a move out of the Spanish club, for nearly two months now. However, it seems like the player might finally see his desire to leave the team come true, as Manchester City
have now joined the race to land the player.
At the moment, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez runs the show at the Eastlands. However, with the forward already having stated that he is almost certain to move out of the club in the summers, the team has started to look for alternate options.
Aguero, happens to also be an Argentine international just like Tevez and also plays alongside the forward for his country.
As a result, Aguero seems to be the ideal replacement for the soon to quit Tevez. The forward can play as an all out striker, or as either a second striker, or a winger. The forward went on to score twenty goals last season, in twenty seven appearances for
the team, which helped establish his claim to being one of the best forwards in the business.
At the same time, Atletico have gone on to admit that they are most probably going to have to part ways with the forward and have since then gone on to play a price tag of forty million pounds on the player.
Previously, the likes of Juventus and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid were being rumoured to be the only teams interested in landing the player, but it now seems like City are the firm favourites to land the twenty three year old.
At the moment, Aguero is busy trying to help http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390, as a result any and all transfers will have to wait till the conclusion of the tournament.
Despite that fact, City are confident over the fact that they would be able to land the forward for around thirty five million pounds, once the tournament is over.
Nonetheless, a move for Aguero might be a last ditch resort for the Manchester based club, as they are currently more interested in keep a hold of Tevez.
A source close to the club is quoted to have said: “City are keen to sign him but a deal is still a long way from being done”
“It depends on what happens to Tevez. City want to sell Tevez or be confident they have a buyer in place before signing Aguero.”
With City willing to splash cash on Aguero, it seems highly unlikely that the forward is going to end up anywhere else, unless he opts against a move to City.
