Manchester City looking to splash out for Porto striker Hulk – Premier League Update
Porto’s Brazilian forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hulk-c16436 has been the talk of the town for a couple of years now. The forward has the ability to play in a host of different positions and is easily one of the most lethal players in the business at the moment.
This past season, the twenty four year old went on to help Porto win the Europa League, with performances that left the world with their jaws in their hands.
As a result, the forward was being linked with moves to the top European clubs and out of those top European clubs, Chelsea and Manchester City were hailed as the favourites to land the striker.
Former Porto manager, Andre Villas-Boas went on to part ways with the Portuguese club just last week, in order to manage http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. As a result, the Brazilian was favoured to soon follow the manager’s footsteps and head out himself.
However, Chelsea might not turn out to be the ideal destination for the striker, as the Blues are currently more interested in landing his strike partner, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276.
With Chelsea now being pre-occupied with Falcao, City have started to edge their way forward with this potential move and are now contemplating a formal offer for the player.
Apparently, City have been informed that they would have to splash out as much as thirty six million pounds to land Hulk and the Manchester based team feel that, that price is one that they can easily match.
One of the prime reasons for City wanting to keep Hulk in the loop, is down to the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, then playing for
City. As a result, City are now resorting to bringing in Hulk, who could prove to be a smarter buy on the long run.
The Brazilian himself has recently gone on to state that he could be tempted to make a move out of the club, should a decent offer be made.
Hulk is quoted to have said: "if there is a good opportunity for me and for the club, a transfer could take place"
There have not been any official talks between the two clubs as yet, however, all of that is subject to change over the course of the coming weeks.
Should City go ahead and bid the desired amount for the player, there is a very high possibility that the team would end up landing the player.
