Manchester City are reported to be on the brink of making a mega offer for Everton full-back, Leighton Baines.
The England international, who was easily one of the best players on display last season, has been winning fans over, all across the globe. As it stands, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini happens to be one of the fans that he has made along the way, which has resulted in
the City boss looking to make a move for the defender.
City are reported to be willing to offer as much as twenty million pounds for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes as the manager is willing to throw in a couple
of unwanted player’s as part of the deal.
At the moment, the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Bellamy-c9471 are all being rumoured to be amongst the players up for offer, in order to help with the deal going through.
At the moment City have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Bridge-c36733, both of whom can play as left-back. However, Bridge has proven over the course of the last couple of seasons that he just isn’t the cutting edge player that the team need to head into a whole new
direction. At the same time, Kolarov has proven to be much better on the offence then he is defensively and he has spent most part of the season playing as a wide midfielder, rather than a defender.
On the other hand, this past season, Baines has been phenomenal. The defender has shown maturity to his game, that many thought he did not possess. Baines has proven that he has stamina, that can help him run for days. He can get forward and help with the
attack and then zip back and clear out any danger that the opposition pose.
During the course of the 2010 – 2011 season, Baines has gone on to score seven goals, while picking up eleven assists along the way. Those statistics, are outstanding, let alone the fact that they came from a defender.
