Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini compares http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romario-c31667
Manchester City manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini seems to putting a lot of faith on Sergio Aguero’s shoulders, as the manager has now gone on to compare the Argentine forward to Brazilian legend, Romario.
The manager feels that the two players have nearly the same qualities and should Aguero manage to keep his career on check, he could potentially replicate the former Brazilian international.
Aguero, went on to make his Premier League debut for City this past Monday. The forward came on as a second half substitute, but managed to score two goals and pick up one assist in his short spell on the pitch.
Due to this performance and based on what the manager has seen of the forward in the past, Mancini feels that Aguero is a copy of Romario.
Went talking about Aguero, Mancini is quoted to have said: “Sergio is a photocopy of Romario, they are the same player.”
At the same time, the manager mentioned that despite that fact, the player was still not a hundred percent and still has a long way to go.
“He is not 100 per cent yet but he is going to be fantastic for us.”
Former Manchester City forward, Mike Summerbee, seems to agree with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 and has gone on to admit that Aguero is possibly one of the best players in the world at the moment and that he has shown enough class to earn that reputation.
When talking about Aguero and his abilities, Summerbee is quoted to have said: “Aguero has to be one of the top players in the world on that display.”
He then admitted that the player has the ability to mix things up and surprise his opponents, when they expect nothing. When refereeing to his second goal on Monday night, Summerbee went on to add:“He does all the simple things well, then suddenly 18 yards
out he turns into a man who can score goals from nothing.”
It might be going a little too state that Aguero is a carbon copy of Romario just yet. Despite Aguero being outstanding and proving his worth, he still has a long way to go, before he can be hailed as one of the greatest players to ever play the game.
That being said, should Aguero manage to maintain the form that he has shown for City in just one game, then he could easily go down as being one of the greatest players to ever play for the blue side of Manchester.
