Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has gone on to admit that he is thoroughly impressed with the performance that Sergio Aguero put in last night and expects the player to do wonders in the future.
City were dominating Swansea during their game last night, but really failed to convert the chances that they had. However, following the introduction of Aguero on to the pitch, all of that changed, as City cruised to a victory over Swansea, as they put
four goals past the visitors and conceded none.
Mancini went on to admit that it was surprising to see his team take so long to get a move on in the game, but he was happy that they eventually got a hang of things.
Mancini is quoted to have said: “Yes I’m delighted after this performance”
“But I think in the first half, Swansea played very well, and for 15-20 minutes we had some problems.
“After that we started to press, and then we had many chances to score but in the end I am very happy.”
However, the manager then went on to state that Aguero was still not up to his full potential and this is despite the fact that the forward went on to score two goals and set one goal up for Silva.
When talking about Aguero and why he is not up to his full potential just yet, Mancini is quoted to have said: “He [Aguero] is not tired, I think that he needs to recover because he only finished the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 three weeks ago“
“But in the last week he worked with the team. He needs another two or three weeks to be 100% maybe.
He then wended by stating that he expected great things from the striker in the future and given that he was still quite young, he still a lot of time to further develop his game.
“For me he [Aguero] is a fantastic striker, he is young, I think for us he will be a fantastic player in the future.”
It is amazing to realize that Aguero’s performances last night were despite him not being at a hundred percent. The striker quite simply ran havoc on the pitch last night and as a result, it is now a wonder to just what chaos the player causes, once he is
up and running at full potential.
Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly is that City now have the squad to compete with just about anyone and are more than likely to give nearly everyone a fight t remember.
