Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini eyes Premier League title in the next season
Money cannot buy success is one of the oldest sayings, more times than not it is true but in Manchester City’s case it may not be true to some degree.
The Citizens have managed to win the FA Cup and qualified for their first Champions League campaign at the end of the ongoing 2010-11 season. The Manchester Club spent a whopping 180 million dollars in the summer transfer window in 2010 and the results have
been adequate to say the least. With so much money spent, many had said that they should be title contenders, but realists still insisted that a cup win and Champions League football should be enough. That is exactly what Manchester City have managed to achieve
in this campaign.
Citizens manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Mancini is delighted to have won first piece of silverware for City in more than three decades, and is now looking forward to next season to challenge for the Premier League title.
The former Inter Milan boss admitted that it may be a big ask to challenge for the title, but said that winning silverware this season may be a good motivating factor for his team next season as they look to go for the Premiership.
“I do this http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 because I like football. I like to work on the pitch and only in this way can you beat important teams. If you don't believe in yourself and your job, it's difficult. This victory will help me and the players improve,” said Mancini.
Mancini went on to say that his team is in rebuilding stage and it is never easy for any team to win the title in their first season after making a number of new singings. He added that it will take time for his team to come to par with teams like Chelsea,
Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Madrid but admitted that they were on the right track.
“If you take another team you need time to do it. After winning this cup next year maybe we can play for the top with United. I believe in this project because we have the chance to buy http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 in the past,” said the
