Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini hails monumental FA Cup triumph

Manchester City manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 is overjoyed after seeing his side progress to the final of the FA Cup with a win over archrivals Manchester United.
The Italian claimed that the result marked ‘an important day’ in the history of the club.
Mancini does not know how right he is. City are on track to win their first FA Cup title in more than 30 years, but perhaps more importantly, they overcame their bitter rivals Manchester United in order to get there. Historically, it is United who have had
all of the success, leading their supporters to dub Manchester City as their ‘noisy neighbours.’ But the Sky Blues have now proved that they are much more than that.
The FA Cup semi-final victory is City’s greatest triumph over their archrivals in recent memory. Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini is absolutely delighted with the win, but he is aware that on any other day, the result could have been completely different.
Speaking after the match, the Italian said, “It’s difficult to play against United. They played very well in the first 25 minutes when they had two chances to score. They are some team and they are used to playing this game every year.”
However, in the years to come, United’s early dominance in the match will be forgotten and all that people will remember is Manchester City’s monumental 1-0 victory which earned them a place in their first FA Cup final in more than 25 years.
However, the job is not yet done, and Mancini claims he is still focused on bringing the FA Cup back to the City of Manchester Stadium.
He said, “Today for me was important and I would like to go on to win this cup for the club and the supporters and all the people who work for Manchester City . . . today was also very important for this club, maybe, because we beat United in a big game.”
