Manchester City manager accuses team of being selfish
Manchester City's manager Roberto Mancini has gone ahead and accused his players to being some of the most selfish that he has ever seen. These comments came after City barely managed to get past Bolton.
A goal that came from Carlos Tevez in the fourth minute, was all that was needed on the night to help the team secure the win.
Mancini was found to be satisfied by the fact that his team kept pressuring the visitng Bolton, but was left infuriated by the fact that the team let so many chances go begging due to the players selfishness.
The manager was reported to have said: "You can say we had some bad luck but we must improve. Sometimes we are too selfish."
"We had maybe 15 chances to score. When you have a lot of chances you think the game is easy."
"You shoot when it is better to pass the ball. We must improve this situation. It means you can draw when you should have won by three or four goals."
"It was the same at Stoke where we deserved to win but we drew. When we have a chance we must score. If I had played today I would have scored two or three goals."
Manicni who has managed to turn City from being a team that was stuck near the relegation zone, to a team that is currently in contention for the Premier League, has every right in the world to be disappointed at his team. The manager has gone ahead and
spend hundreds of millions of pounds on making the perfect team, but if they just can't get it right, then not only has the team failed the manager, but the manager has also failed the club at getting the best out of the players.
It is safe to say that in the coming weeks, the players lives will be made h**l by the manager, but if he succeeds at doing what he wants to, then the team could become real title contenders and could end their thirty six year barren run.
