is finally here.
City have not managed to taste the glory of lifting the Premier League crown since 1968. However, following the changes to the team and the ownership, the club finally seem to be in a comfortable position to lifting the trophy this time around.
The club went on to win the FA Cup last season and that trophy was the first major trophy that the team lifted in over thirty years. However, many people at the club believe that, winning the FA Cup was just the start of a great future.
A very confident Barry, when talking about his side and their possibilities of ending the season on a high is quoted to have said: “If you look at our finishes, we were 5th, then we finished 3rd last season and won the FA Cup.
“That is great progression and if you keep doing that then a league title is not going to be too far away for us. For this club to win the Premier League would be fantastic.
“Players always look at the league table. You never get too carried away by it but you are always looking. We have started well and now the top area of the table is where we are going to aim to stay.
“It is always tough to keep winning but that is the mentality the club need now and the players are trying to adapt to it”
City have had a very impressive start to the league this time around and the team is looking better than it ever has. They are currently tied with Manchester United at the top spot in the league, with only their goal difference leaving them in the second
spot on the table.
