Manchester City moving in for Newcastle’s Chieck Tiote
Manchester City are looking to reinforce their midfield by bringing in Newcastle United’s Chieck Tiote.
Over the last couple of weeks, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has gone on to reveal that he still feels that there is room for development in the City squad. However, the manager also stated that in order to proceed with his plan, he would have to sell before he could
buy.
City have currently identified a number of players to offload, including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Bridge-c36733. However, with Nigel De Jong failing to agree to the terms of a new contract, he is also being regarded as one of the players who could be
on his way out of the club.
With the team only possessing Yaya Toure as a holding midfielder who can play regularly without getting injured, they are now looking to try and bring in a player to provide cover for the Ivorian international.
As a result, the team seems to have turned its attention to Newcastle United’s midfielder, Chieck Tiote.
Tiote has been turning heads all season long with his impressive performances and the twenty five year old has been linked with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester United on a number of occasions.
With the player being in such high demand, City would have to spend a little extra cash to land the player. However, that has never been a problem for the team and they are looking to out bid their opponents once again.
United and Chelsea are believed to be considering lodging a bid of around twenty million pounds for the player. With City being aware of this figure, the team could start its bidding for a fee of thirty five million pounds.
Despite Newcastle being highly reluctant to sell the midfielder, should such a massive offer be tabled in front of them, they could find it close to impossible to let it go.
Should Tiote make his way to the Eastlands, then it could mark the end of both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Owen-Hargreaves-c28918, both of whom have reportedly fallen out with Roberto Mancini in recent weeks.
