Manchester City plan audacious Wesley Sneijder bid
Manchester City’s manager, Roberto Mancini has set his sights on a new summer prospect. The player who the manager has in mind is none other than Inter Milan’s star play maker, Wesley Sneijder. Recently reports came in which claimed that the Dutch superstar
was not very happy with how things were being run at the club, under new manager Rafa Benitez. The player has also been reported to be delaying talks of a contract renewal at the club for a while now and has constantly said that he needs time to think about
his decision.
This has led to the Manchester City manager feeling like he has a very high possibility of actually signing the player, despite it looking close to impossible in the past. The manager has however claimed that Sneijder will not be the final piece of the puzzle,
since there is still a lot of room for modifications to the squad. The manager has already brought in an array of talent to the Eastlands this summer and is now looking to repeat the same methodology.
However when thought about, a move for Sneijder to Manchester City might just be the final act in City’s walk to footballing domination. The team would have quite possibly the best possible squad that anyone could hope for and with the squad intact, the
team might just finally become serious title contenders. That is of course if we consider them to not be serious title contenders already.
City, in the past have failed to sign the likes of John Terry and Fernando Torres in the past, despite the team making audacious bids for both the players. A move by the Inter Milan star to the Eastlands for this very reason currently seems to be a very
optimistic thought, however in the past moves that were thought to be impossible. Having taken place this times means that perhaps luck is on City’s side.
Sneijder will still have the final say in the transfer deal, the player in the past had admitted that he would relish the opportunity to play for Manchester United, but the question that arises is, would the player be willing to play for United’s arch rivals?
That however will not and cannot be answered till the transfer window opens next summer.
That being said, Sneijder would be a more than worthy addition to Manchester City or any team for that matter. The player is quite possibly one of the best playmakers in the world at the moment and has the winning mentality that would see any team become
far more successful than they already are.
Despite being a midfielder, the player was one of the leading goal scorers at the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was also the pivotal figure in the Inter side that went on to win the club’s first every treble, which included a Champions League trophy. It is this
record along with the players desire to win, that has made him one of the hottest transfer prospects in recent history and hence it comes as no surprise that City now want the player. However it is now a matter of sitting and waiting to see if the player actually
makes the audacious move to the Eastlands from the San Siro.
