Manchester City rules out Emmanuel Adebayor's transfer to Juventus
There is yet another assurance by the Eastlands that there pivotal striker Emmanuel Adebayor will not be leaving the club and will be included in the squad for the upcoming season. Rumours are rife on all mediums especially on online social networks that the player is making a shift to another club.
However officials from the club have clarified again that the striker will not be leaving the club as he is a vital part to their success. Sites such as twitter are continuing to spread these rumours however that the 26-year-old forward will be leaving the club to another club before the transfer window on 31st August.
Media reports have suggested that Adebayor was making a shift to an Italian club. Furthermore it was disclosed that the Togolese striker had in fact sent a request to get the player from Manchester City and sign him in. Just a few days later, it was revealed that Juventus was interested in acquiring the star forward. Now though the matter is at a standstill with Juventus coming out off the box, the club still continues to deny any chances of a possible move.
After just a few days, another report sealed the matter by stating that Adebayor had rung a plea to the Italian club saying that he would be very grateful if they bailed him out of Manchester City. However, there has been no way of verifying that report as Adebayor has failed to comment on the issue directly.
Still, he did mention this, “Juventus are a great club in which I would like to play. Until some time ago I would not have accepted a transfer to other clubs”.
This clearly represents that Adebayor will not deny a move but the Manchester City coach has constantly repeated that they are not going to lose their player. Adebayor has scored 14 goals in just 26 matches for the Eastlands. The former Arsenal player had already proven his worth at the Gunners when he scored 104 goals in 46 matches.
On his form, the no.9 Adebayor expressed, “I wanted to wear the City shirt and have a better season compared to last year, but I know there will not be many chances for me and so I am considering the many offers I have received”.
The club in response to all these rumours have stated, “Take it from us everyone, despite reports, MCFC has no plans to sell Emmanuel Adebayor; our new no.9 for this season, and that's official”.
Manchester City got the maestro striker from Arsenal at an amazing price which is not a problem for them when cash rich Sheikh Mansour is backing the team. They got the star for just 25 million pounds. This time, Arsenal are at it again and are buying whoever they fancy.
The club has already signed in big names like Yaya Toure, David Silva, Jerome Boateng and Aleksander Koralov and that is not the end. The already star-studded line-up is looking for more upgrades. Rumour has it that they are going to get rid of as many as 13 players and in doing so; they would need a lot of players. So far so, the Italian manager has confirmed that he will be signing about 5 new players; 3 of which will be coming in the next week.
One of their star signing would be of the 18-year-old Italian prodigy Mario Balotelli. The Inter Milan striker has snubbed a 65,000 pound per week offer by Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson. However, he is demanding an 180,000 per week salary from the club. Manchester United already has the highest paid player in the English League in the shape of Yaya Toure who is getting 220,000 pounds per week.
