Manchester City set to offload http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Bridge-c36733 and James Milner with Liverpool the likeliest destination
Manchester City are currently looking to add quality to their squad, in hopes that it would help them build on the successful season that they had last season.
City successfully managed to end their trophy drought, as they went on to land the FA Cup this past season, along with finishing in the third spot in the league, in order to ensure their qualification into the Champions League this coming season.
However, with the team looking to build on their existing squad, it is only obvious for the team to be willing to offload surplus players, who happen to have no room in the team any more.
At the moment, it seems like the team has gone on to identify both James Milner and Wayne Bridge as surplus to requirements at the club and are now willing to listen to offer for the players.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 made his way to the Eastlands from Aston Villa, at the start of last season. However, ever since his move to the club, the twenty five year old has found it close to impossible to cement a spot in the starting eleven at the club.
The midfielder has constantly been having problems at the club, mainly because he has found it quite hard to adjust to life at Eastlands. As a result, the midfielder is now being favoured to make his way out of the club, despite only having spent a season
with the team.
At the moment, the likes of Aston Villa and Liverpool are said to be showing the most interest in the player and are hoping to wrap up the players signature, within the coming week or so.
City bought Milner for over twenty five million pounds, but are believed to be willing to let him leave for a minimal price of fifteen million pounds.
On the other hand, Wayne Bridge’s departure from the club has been a long time coming. City have already spent quality time in the transfer market, looking to replacements for Bridge and with the team now closing in on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leighton-Baines-c21987, it seems like the
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international is set to be on his way out.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are reported to be the favourites to land Bridge and with no other team looking to compete for the player’s capture, they are bound to secure his transfer, within the coming week or so.
City are currently expecting to receive as much as seven million pounds for Bridge, but, are willing to let him go for a cash plus player offer as well.
