Manchester City spend again and Vidić Real Madrid bound
Manchester City have continued spending money in the transfer market this summer, as they have agreed a deal with Lazio for left-back Aleksander Kolarov for £17million. Manchester City just completed the signing of David Silva from Valencia this week, along with Barcelona’s Yaya Touré.

Meanwhile, Shaktar Donetsk are pondering a move for Robinho. The Brazilian was out on loan at Santos last season, and the Ukrainian outfit could make a £20million bid.

Manchester United could lose Nemanja Vidić to Real Madrid. The Serbian centre-back has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for some time. Barcelona were also linked with Vidić, but he is the subject of serious interest from José Mourinho’s new side at the Bernabéu.

Connor Wickham is wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The 17-year-old Ipswich striker is in the middle of an £8million battle between the two north London clubs. Also, Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano has welcomed a summer move to Tottenham.

Tottenham could also land Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from AC Milan, as the Italian side are trying to offload him to raise money to sign Wolfsburg’s Edin Dzeko. Huntelaar will also be offered to Aton Villa as well. Dzeko is a target for Manchester City, and AC Milan are looking to scupper their bid for the Bosnian.

Aston Villa meanwhile are considering an £8million bid for Mario Mandžukić of Dinamo Zagreb, while Villa’s rivals Birmingham City are looking to sign AZ Alkmaar striker Moussa Dembélé.

West Ham are set to seal a £1million deal for Frédéric Piquionne on a three-year contract. Piquionne was on loan from Olympique Lyonnais last season at Portsmouth, and will team up once again with Avram Grant at Upton Park. West Ham are also hoping to sign Nice striker Loïc Rémy, yet Liverpool may enter the race to sign him as well.

Danny Welbeck is close to sealing a season-long loan move to Sunderland, while manager Steve Bruce has been told he will have to pay around £10million if he wants to bring out-of-favour Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland to the Stadium of Light.
