Manchester City beat Aris Saloniki 3-0 in the second leg of the last 32 round of UEFA Europa League at the City of Manchester Stadium on Thursday evening. A brace from Edin Dzeko and a goal from Yaya Toure helped the hosts cruise to the last 16 round. The
aggregate score also remained 3-0, as the first leg ended in a stalemate last week.

visitors named the same team that played the first leg.
The game started in a sparkling fashion, as the hosts opened the scoring in the seventh minute. Aleksander Kolarov played a long ball to Dzeko in the box and the Bosnian controlled it beautifully before smashing it low into the corner of the net to make
it 1-0. Three minutes later, the former Wolfsburg striker doubled his and City’s tally for the evening. Tevez and Dzeko played one touch passing on the edge of the box, before the latter finished a cracking shot into low corner to make it 2-0 for the hosts.
The hosts moved on with the same pace, and should have scored their third goal but Balotelli’s hammering shot was saved beautifully by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michalis-Sifakis-c25449. The chances dried up just after the 20th minute mark but the hosts enjoyed the possession with
ease and dominated throughout the half. The visitors were totally anonymous in the first half as they failed to trouble the City defence.
The second half started at a slow pace as compared to the first half. City dominated the possession and sprayed passes in their own half. City were clearly the better side in terms of territory marking, as the visitors had left a lot of spaces for the City
players to shoot from a distance. Just after the hour mark, Balotelli’s thunderous shot struck the upright and bounced out for a goal kick. The hosts enjoyed 70 per cent of the possession and left the visitors with no chance of breaking in their box. The Blues
scored their third goal of the evening in the 73rd minute. Kolarov’s corner from the left was cleared into the path of Yaya Toure, whose strike from 25 yards took a heavy deflection off the Saloniki defender and went into net. City completed a comfortable
home win to advance to the next round.
The draws for the last 16 round will take place next month.
