It would seem that it should be good for competition in the league but yet another takeover and more big money signings for foreigners. What do you think?

  1. That's bad. Another team in the top four is bad. And I don't like their attitude. They spend cash like it's nothing and try to hijack bids.

  2. i know where your concerns are.... but i honestly think its a good thing mate. no matter who you support.

funds drip down the league.... just look at a few years ago when birmingham took a couple of players off of chelsea when they had a moneybags investor.

it has to be good for the game.... i hope so anyway or im taking my ball home!

  3. Wel it can be view both ways...good for the power of the Premiership but very very bad for the transfer market.

Let look back to the day when Chelsea didn't have Russian money, nobody really went there and now they sign who they like with astronomical amounts of money, they have inflated the transfer market and ruin player careers if even for a few years.

But lets face it, if there are such great players in the Premiership and we win the league it will TRULY show who has been the best for the whole season.

  4. Am sure Platini will start his usual bit of $hitstirring now that an other english club will be challenging Europe. You watch he will come out with yet an other load of absolute c**p, just you watch !

But anyway this is good for the English league for sure, Spain and Italy cant compete anymore and are having to settle for scraps, like Van Nistelrooy, Henry, Riise and Heinze, ok they still have things to offer but there better years were in the Premierleague. And in turn English clubs will win more cups and to be honest i've given up on caring about the England squad c**p, if there good enough they will play example Man Utd in the Champions league final played 6 English players but then if theres foriegn players who are better and cheaper who are you gonna buy?

  5. why not let everyone in free if he's got that much money at City.

  6. good...............

  7. Bad. The only new competition will be from Citeh; switching from the big 4 to the big 5 doesn't erase the problem, it only strengthens the perception that to make it in the premier league you must find a rich billionaire buyer who will splash millions at any player that moves. The way things are going the smaller teams have absolutely no chance to compete, there will be less and less English players, and transfer fees will become more absurd than they already are.

  8. Superb , keep up the good work ! .

Makes everyone's season ticket worth even more.

  9. Good for the fact that the stereotype "Theres only 4 good teams in England" is thrown out the window...but then the other stereotype "English clubs only have money" is only bigger..
