Manchester City targeting quality and not quantity according to Gary Owen – Premier League News
Most people have found it rather peculiar that Manchester City have not yet gone ahead and spent ridiculous amounts of cash on signing a player. In fact, the team is yet to really make its mark on the transfer market.
However, according to Gary Owen, who is a former Manchester City midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has some intricate plans that he is looking to pursue.
Owen believes that Mancini is now looking to bring in quality and not quantity, as opposed to how he went about making his transfers in the past.
Following a trophy drought spanning over thirty years, Manchester City finally managed to lift a trophy in the form of the FA Cup, after the beat Stoke City in the finals of the tournament. The team now seems more focused on bringing in signings that can
help them improve the base that has been established at the club.
The new Abu Dhabi based ownership has seen the team head into a new direction and despite it previously looking like the new owners weren’t going to change the fate of the team, City struck gold.
Despite that fact, Owen feels that there are still a number of changes that can help the team do even better. However, the former midfielder insisted that instead of going overboard, only crucial players should be signed, who could actually help make a difference
at the club.
Owen when talking about City and their potential transfers is quoted to have said:"Man City are working on two or three signings, it’s not a question of wholesale changes but players who will make our squad better not keep it at the same level"
"The key is to not get rid of your players in case you can’t get any in because we have a huge season ahead of us.”
"It was important that they had to buy big, heavily and quickly.

"We’re at a stage now though where the players who are not even in the squad that would probably be playing in the sides of many other Premier League clubs."
Despite not having played the game in a while, it seems like Gary Owen is spot on with his analysis about how the team should plan out their future.
At the moment City are being linked with a move for a number of players, including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799. The team has not yet confirmed or denied any of these rumours, but everyone will just have to wait a
couple of weeks to see what player/players City end up capturing.
