Manchester City to buy at least two or three more strikers

Manchester City’s manager, Roberto Mancini has admitted that the team is currently, at least two or three players short. The manager however has a vague idea as to who those two or three players are. The players that the Italian manager wishes to bring into
the Eastlands include, Fernando Torres, Karim Benzema and Edin Dzeko.
The manager was previously reported to be interested in signing the out of favor Liverpool forward, however he has added the names of the French forward, Benzema and the Wolfsburg hit man Edin Dzeko to his wish list.
This past summer the club spent around a hundred and thirty million pounds, but the owners of the club had given the manager a target to compete for a Champions League spot, which Mancini claims will only be possible with the addition of another two or three
players in the January transfer window. The chairmen at the club said that they are willing to give the Italian as much money as he wants, as long as he can promise that the team will meet the targets that the board wishes to see.
Mancini is quite easily not the only manager, who will be looking to lure Torres to their club as early as January. However Mancini is the only manager who seems to have access to a bottom less pit of funds, which would make the deal a whole lot more easier
to go through with.
Mancini is also well aware of the fact that he might not be in the managers seat, next summers at the Eastlands. This is because with the owners of the club, giving the manager as much money as he wants to spend on players, they expect some results from
the manager. If he fails to produce those, then he might as well call it quits. However he knows that the addition of Fernando Torres to the side, would help boost his cause and might even help secure his job at the club.
The signature of the player would depend on two things; the first being the form and position that Liverpool are in when the transfer window manages to open. The second depends on the financial issues that Liverpool are in at that moment in time. Liverpool
are currently in major debt and if they are offered a handsome amount of money, they might just find it a little too good to refuse.
If Torres does manage to make it to the Eastlands, then it is evident that he will be playing as the sole striker with Carlos Tevez dropping a little deeper. Tevez has already proven over the last couple of seasons that he can be lethal in almost any and
every position that he plays in. Only this time around Tevez will be forced to compete with Torres in the squad itself, to get into the limelight. This would not only make Tevez perform at a better level then he is performing at, but it would also result in
Torres playing with all his might. He would be looking to prove to the world that he is just as good as he is rumored to be and that he is just going through a rough spell in his career and nothing more or nothing less.
None the less, it is a move that could change the very fabric of the Premier League.
