Manchester City versus Tottenham Hotspur – First half review: English Premier League (Part 1)
Manchester City hosted Tottenham Hotspur at the Eastlands stadium in their 36th match of the English Premier League season on 10th of May, 2011. Both the teams who started the season with UEFA Champions League
qualification ambitions went all out in the match for a win. Manchester City started with Edin Dzeko as their solitary striker.

Tottenham started the match off as the brighter of the two sides at Eastlands stadium as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Lennon-c3062 was played in down the right hand side of the away side’s attack by Sandro. The Englishman went past Zabaleta with ease before
whipping in a cross towards the Manchester City penalty area. However, Vincent Kompany read the flight of the ball perfectly as the Belgian defender it away.
In the 5th minute, Micah Richards surged forward for the home side. The robust right back was played in by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 who did remarkably well to put the right weight on his through ball for the Englishman. Nonetheless,
Richards failed to deliver an accurate ball into the Tottenham penalty area despite being in an advantageous position as City’s first offensive move of the night came to nothing.
In the 10th minute, Edin Dzeko had a wonderful chance to open the scoring for the men in blue. The muscular striker was played in by David Silva who produced a well timed cut back pass for his team mate. However, Dzeko’s
side footed finish was palmed away to safety by Cudicini as the score line remained at nil all at the Eastlands stadium.
