Manchester City played host to Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium, as they looked to try and close in the gap at the top of the table.
On the other hand, Tottenham were looking to try and keep the momentum that they had developed, as they were determined to try and find a way back into the top four at the end of the current season.
The match kicked off with City looking to control the game early on. However, despite all their early efforts, it was the visiting Tottenham that went on to open the scoring in the game.
In the 21st minute, Tottenham scored the first goal of the game, as Caulker scored the goal that gave his side the lead.
Huddlestone went on to bend in a bending free kick which the defender met with his head. Hart got in the way of the header, but failed to push the ball out of the goal.
City had to wait all the way until the second half to get back in the game, as they scored the equalizing goal in the 65th minute of the game.
Toure tried to make a darting run forward, but saw Caulker intercept the ball. Luckily for City the ball fell to Aguero, who pushed forward before cutting back, to curl the ball into the far post with his left foot.
As a result, City were now back in the game, as the team looked determined not to drop any unnecessary points in the game.
Despite that fact, City were looking much weaker than they have in the past, which helped give Tottenham some hope of claiming all three points from the game.
Just when it looked like the match mind end in a draw, City’s super sub, Dzeko went on to score the match winner.
The Bosnian played a pass to Silva, before darting into space to receive the return pass. Dzeko then smashed the ball into the back of the net via a volley, as he beat Friedel all ends up with his shot.
Thanks to another great goal from Dzeko, City went on to win the match and claimed all three points from it.
