Manchester City are reportedly in the process of working out a deal with AC Milan, which would see the player join the Italian side in January. City were reluctant on letting Tevez leave on a loan, but they are now looking to incorporate a buy clause in
the deal, in order to have their way.
Officials from both the clubs had previously met on a number of occasions, but so far nothing could be agreed between the two teams. However, it now seems like City have worked out a solution which could see both the sides get what they want.
Milan have so far been reluctant to land the player permanently and have kept insisting that they would want to land Tevez on a loan.
On the other hand, City have been adamant on the fact that they would not Tevez leave on a loan under any circumstance and want the striker to move away permanently.
Based on that, City had been delaying the possibility of any club coming forth and making an official offer for the player, considering how everyone wanted to land him as part of a loan deal.
Nonetheless, it now seems like City don’t have much time left on their hands before the January transfer window and will be looking to let the player go away on loan, as long as they can place the option of selling the player in the fine print.
City are going to let Milan sign the player as part of a loan deal in January, but they are going to sneak in a clause, which would force the Italian club to buy the player at the end of the season.
Not only would this give the team ample time to gather the funds to land the player, but it would also help City as they wouldn’t have to pay the player’s wages any longer.
All in all, it is now a wait to see just what Milan think of the situation and whether they decide to go forth with this new stipulation and cave into City’s demands.
