Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 not disappointed with being a substitute – Premier League Update
Manchester City winger and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, Adam Johnson has gone on to admit that he doesn’t have any problems with staying on the bench at the Etihad Stadium, as long as he gets to play every now and then.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has gone ahead and deployed a squad rotation policy at City and as a result, a number of the team’s key players end up spending more time on the bench than they would like.
The last time Johnson took to the pitch for City, he went on to put in a brilliant performance and even topped it off with a world class goal. The winger’s effort helped City cruise to a four goals to nil win over Blackburn and helped them overcome the defeat
to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Instead of being disappointed with his new role at the club, which sees him play every other game, Johnson seems to be more than happy, since he gets to show the fans just what he is capable of, when he does take to the field.
The player, when talking about his position and future at the club is quoted to have said: “We know more than ever before that this is a squad game and you have to accept that you can’t play in every game”

“That’s what successful sides do and we’re no different. You just have to make sure that when you are selected, you give it your best shot.”

“The manager wanted to freshen things up after the Bayern Munich game by bringing some of the lads who didn’t play in that game so it’s up to the likes of me to stake a claim when I play.”

“We are aware that there are plenty of games coming up and we want to win every competition we’re in, so there will be a lot of chopping and changing as the season goes on, that’s only to be expected.

“If there are two games a week and you play in one of those games, I think you have to be happy with that - it’s the price of playing at such a big club.”
Johnson has been quite brilliant, every time he has taken to the field for City. However, despite that fact, the player seems to be sidelined due to the surplus talent that is overflowing at the club.
Nonetheless, with City now participating in so many competitions, it is safe to say the player is going to get his fair share of first team options this season.
